Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to PredatorMatch ("Platform", "Service", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using our GPS-validated fishing tournament management platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Definitions

• Organizer: A user who creates and manages fishing tournaments on the Platform.
• Participant: A user who registers for and competes in tournaments.
• Tournament: A fishing competition event created and managed through our Platform.
• Catch: A fish submission with photo and GPS validation submitted by a Participant.
• Platform Fee: The €8 service charge per tournament registration.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

3.2 Account Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

3.3 Account Types

We offer two account types: Organizer accounts for creating tournaments, and Participant accounts for competing in tournaments. Users may hold both roles.

4. Service Description

4.1 For Organizers

• Create and manage fishing tournaments
• Set tournament rules, zones, and prize structures
• Review and validate catch submissions
• Track registrations and payments
• Access real-time leaderboards and analytics

4.2 For Participants

• Browse and register for tournaments
• Submit catches with photo and GPS validation
• View live leaderboards and rankings
• Track personal statistics and achievements

5. Fees and Payments

5.1 Platform Fee

PredatorMatch charges a €8 platform fee per tournament registration. This fee covers:

• GPS validation technology
• Real-time data processing
• Secure media storage
• Customer support
• Platform maintenance and updates

5.2 Tournament Entry Fees

Organizers may charge additional tournament entry fees. These fees are separate from the Platform Fee and are paid directly to the Organizer.

5.3 Payment Methods

Currently, we support manual payments (bank transfer, cash). Stripe and PayPal integration coming soon.

5.4 Refund Policy

• Platform fees are non-refundable once a tournament begins.
• Refunds for tournament cancellations are at the Organizer's discretion.
• We may issue refunds in cases of technical failures caused by the Platform.

6. GPS and Data Validation

6.1 GPS Requirements

Participants must enable GPS location services for catch submissions. GPS data is used exclusively for tournament validation.

6.2 Photo Requirements

• Photos must clearly show the catch and measuring device
• Photos must be taken at the time and location of the catch
• Edited or manipulated photos will result in disqualification

6.3 Validation Process

Organizers have final authority to approve or reject catch submissions. Our GPS validation is a tool to assist decision-making, not a replacement for Organizer judgment.

7. User Conduct

7.1 Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

• Submit false, manipulated, or fraudulent catch data
• Spoof GPS locations or use GPS manipulation tools
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or compromise the Platform
• Use the Platform for illegal activities
• Share account credentials with others
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent rules

7.2 Consequences

Violations may result in account suspension, tournament disqualification, permanent ban, and legal action if necessary.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Platform Ownership

PredatorMatch owns all rights to the Platform, including software, design, branding, and documentation.

8.2 User Content

By uploading photos and data, you grant PredatorMatch a non-exclusive license to store, display, and process this content for Platform operation. You retain ownership of your content.

8.3 Tournament Content

Organizers retain rights to their tournament branding and materials. By using the Platform, you grant us permission to display tournament information publicly.

9. Liability and Disclaimers

9.1 Service "As Is"

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

9.2 Limitation of Liability

PredatorMatch is not liable for:

• Disputes between Organizers and Participants
• Prize distribution or tournament rules enforcement
• GPS inaccuracies caused by device or environmental factors
• Loss of data due to technical failures
• Fishing-related accidents or injuries

9.3 Third-Party Services

We use third-party services (AWS S3, payment processors). We are not responsible for their performance or failures.

10. Termination

10.1 By User

You may delete your account at any time. Deletion does not entitle you to refunds for active tournaments.

10.2 By PredatorMatch

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for Terms violations, fraudulent activity, or at our discretion.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or Platform notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the jurisdiction where PredatorMatch is registered. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration.
